After returning to school, Su Cen went back to his dormitory building and opened the imperial decree he had purchased at the auction. He placed it inside a wardrobe since it was worth at least one million yuan. Even if its monetary value wasn't high, leaving it on the table would be too careless; many people came daily to borrow computers, and accidentally damaging it would be detrimental to national cultural relics.

He put the imperial decree in the paper tube into the wardrobe and then checked the time before rushing down from his dormitory building to wait at the Third Teaching Building. Since Nan University had different departments offering various courses, he often needed to run between different colleges. Sometimes, a morning class would be in one area of campus while an afternoon class would be on the opposite side—quite hectic.

The arrangement was somewhat similar to his high school days in America where moving from one classroom to another within five minutes was common with little time for rest; it could be quite demanding academically.

Back then, he and Tang Wu often took advantage of the breaks on Fridays to listen to the band performances and read newspapers. That lifestyle was pretty fulfilling.

Now that they were in university and at the same school, even if it wasn't like their time in America, they could still relive those moments.

Su Cen didn’t send a text or make a call to Tang Wu; he simply waited quietly under the teaching building for class to end.

He recalled seeing Tang Wu's second aunt Qian Yu and her cousin Mu Kaizhu at the auction, who had seen him bid on that three-hour dinner with Zhan Hua. Since both of them saw this scene, it wouldn't be long before news about his purchase spread in the Tang and Mu families, which was exactly what Su Cen wanted to see happen.

Since I've decided to occasionally display some of my capabilities, whether it's the wealthy son or the territory I've earned through my own efforts, being able to bid on Zhan Hua's dinner already speaks volumes. As for Zhang Yue's father, Zhang Taolu's disparagement towards me, it can basically come to an end.

Having demonstrated my abilities, the most important thing is now the parents of Tang Wu; they know that I founded this "Fashion Culture" magazine, and in the near future, this magazine will be placed on display for Zhan Hua to see, becoming a focal point of discussion within Shanghai's financial circles. This outcome was likely beyond their expectations.

The ringing bell made Su Can feel momentarily disoriented as students flooded out from under the梧桐樹下的蘇燦聽到鈴聲還有點恍惚,三教學樓下課出來的人源源不斷。

Some of these people knew Su Can, after all, in the first year, he was considered a notable figure. Some greeted him because they lived on different floors but had seen each other in the common areas over the past few months.

Shortly thereafter, Qian Zhongyuan, Zhang Xiaqiao's rival, emerged from the building as well. As usual, Qian Zhongyuan was surrounded by a group of people laughing and chatting together. Upon seeing Su Can, he narrowed his eyes; after all, in college, they were clearly two distinct factions.

"Frustrating! I still have so many books to read when I get back. Finals are approaching, haven't you noticed that the professor's face looks like it's about to drip with water It's said that this year the department chair set a quota for him, forcing him to weed out some students in this subject. If there are too many students passing, it wouldn't highlight the quality of this Nan University course at all. What kind of logic is this Damn, the school really has a hidden agenda. If I had Tang Wu's systematic approach to studying, I might actually make use of the overnight study room. This is so frustrating."

A female student who walked out with Tang Wu angrily commented.

Tang Wu smiled. She was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt today, with a V-neck undershirt peeking through, her slender collarbone clearly visible below her fair neck. Her lower half was still fitted jeans that accentuated her long legs standing out prominently at the entrance of the teaching building.

Qian Zhongyuan and others noticed that Su Cen already had a bad mood, and seeing Tang Wu reminded them of the senior who was defeated by the school baseball team. They felt somewhat guilty as their actions had indirectly led to the situation.

Tang Wu appeared aloof, but everyone knew her thoughts weren't as cold-hearted as she seemed. Who could tell if she would resent them because of Su Cen and hold a grudge

Qian Zhongyuan only had conflicts with Zhang Xiaqiao; despite their families being influential in the school, they usually didn’t act arrogantly. Most of them were pre-planned by their parents for their future while at the university, so apart from occasionally putting on airs, they weren't truly malicious individuals. If Tang Wu harbored ill feelings towards them, it wouldn’t feel right.

After seeing Tang Wu come out, Qian Zhongyuan and his group didn’t stay long and left without intending to taunt Su Cen.

"Hehe, your significant other is here now. I won't bother you anymore," a girl nearby smiled enviously at the sight of Su Cen outside San Jiao Building.

Tang Wu nodded and looked somewhat bashful at Su Cen. She recalled how he had rapidly advanced during this period; first attending her family’s gathering in Shanghai, then having her parents invite him to dinner specially at Nan Da University. As Su Cen detailed his magazine endeavors to them, Tang Wu could see their surprise.

This was different from when she showed her parents the articles Su Cen had published on their school journal and newspaper reports about him in America. It directly shocked them because what he accomplished during high school was merely exceptional for that period; it couldn’t represent his future potential or talent.

Su Cen countered this perception of his parents with concrete actions; not only did he own a magazine worth millions, but even more impressively, he hadn't dropped out and still maintained good academic performance. This was something Mu Xuan affirmed to Tang Wu after her visit.

No matter how Mu Xuan tries to hide it, Tang Wu can still recognize that her mother cannot conceal her appreciation for Su Cen.

This is a pleasant feeling. During the subsequent period of time, whether in the strategy class "The Art of Military Science," or in the tedious class "Linear Algebra," or even in the impressive course "Organizational Behavior"—whenever she sees lecturers energetically explaining and writing on the blackboard in these large lecture halls, sweet emotions would subtly creep up from deep within Tang Wu's heart.

Occasionally when her mind wanders, she recalls what Su Cen said to her that day. He asked why he started doing business during his student days because he was afraid of not being able to grasp his own and her destiny; he feared that one day after graduation they would truly part ways. Years later, even if they met again, it might only be as strangers with families in a rush through life.

Now seeing Su Cen standing under the paulownia tree, Tang Wu softly says to herself in her heart: "Foolish man, even if you can't grasp my fate, you've already captured my heart."

Su Cen naturally doesn’t know what Tang Xiaowu is thinking at this moment. Upon seeing how she dressed up today, he felt quite impulsive, wondering whether it was time to have a media-focused dinner with Shanghai’s Zhan Hua or not—he can't wait to inform his wife of the good news. Although we haven't officially become one yet, aren’t we already starting to share information resources

Just as Su Cen got lost in thought, he suddenly received a text message.

The sender was Lin Luoran: "I've arrived at your school now; I’ve come elegantly. Tang Xiaowu and Su Xiaocan, quickly welcome me."轉碼失敗!請您使用右上換源切換源站閱讀或者直接前往源網站進行閱讀!
