Beyond the elevator, Wang Zheng was greeted by a spacious white hall. Many busy figures hurried through it, and on both sides of the hall were numerous small corridors leading to unknown destinations.

"Looks like this is one of Eleven Division's most valuable spots," Wang Zheng raised an eyebrow: "I bet there are quite a few important prisoners here."

Wang Zheng was well aware what this place meant to the Eleven Division. Countless spies and agents holding state secrets were detained here, and any one of them could fetch a good price in the international underground world.

Of course, according to rumors, the Eleven Division frequently sold off used-up spies at low prices, which made their operational funds very abundant. Such action was also tacitly approved by higher-ups, as it was an international practice to sell off spies cheaply to mercenary organizations. After all, these individuals were skilled and strong fighters who could be forced into compliance with drugs or other means, making them unlikely to escape.

"Stop talking nonsense, let's go," Swallow said seriously: "I don't know why you chose this path, but once you're in here, it'll be hard getting out."

Swallow was right; this was the most important and secure area of the Eleven Division. It was so heavily guarded that not even a rat could get through.

In their world, every mouse or bird might potentially transmit intelligence.

"I just want to see who's behind my frame-up," Wang Zheng checked his watch: "You can rest assured; I'll be out within 24 hours."

Swallow snorted and turned to the others, saying: "Take him to Room 204."

Wang Zheng smiled at Swallow as he turned back, staring her down until she seemed a little uncomfortable. Then he said: "Once I'm out of here, I'll transfer you out of Eleven Division and help set up a good match for you."

Swallow ignored Wang Zheng, turning to the people around her: "Take him away; search him."

Wang Zheng wasn't handcuffed but was lightly held by two people as they crossed through a long corridor into Room 204.

The room looked unremarkable at first glance, with only one chair spotless and gleaming white. Wang Zheng quickly noticed four panoramic security cameras deeply embedded in the corners of the walls.

"We're going to search you," a male agent said coldly.

In a spacious office, a middle-aged man is staring at the computer screen in front of him. This man looks to be in his forties, wearing black-framed glasses and a mustard-yellow jacket, giving off an image of a high-ranking corporate executive. However, from time to time, there’s a hint of sharpness that flashes behind those black-framed glasses.

This is the current chief of Department 11, Tao Tangtian, also known as the person within the State Security who has the worst relationship with He Yan.

"Uncle Er, how do you feel Are you satisfied" Tao Tangtian says to an elderly man standing beside him with a smile.

The elderly man is wearing traditional Chinese attire, but his frail body seems unable to support such clothes, which looks somewhat amusing. The old man's hair is completely white, and his face is full of wrinkles that crisscross like the petals of a wilted flower.

"Tangtian, it’s thanks to your filial piety; you managed to take this action on my behalf. You’re much better than your brothers," says the elderly man as he looks at Wang Zheng's figure on the screen, his eyes filled with intense hatred.

"If possible, try your best to kill him." The old man says viciously: "I want to see him die in front of my eyes; otherwise, I won’t be able to ease this resentment."

If Wang Zheng were here, he could certainly recognize this elderly man as Xu Shuliang, the former head of the National Commission for Development and Reform whom he had severely beaten at Su Fuhua’s birthday banquet.

However, this old man has become increasingly cunning with age. At present, he actually wants to use State Security's hands to kill Wang Zheng.

"Uncle Er is a national elder; for this young upstart to dare act so disrespectfully in public, it’s only natural that I would intervene."

Tao Tangtian takes a drag from the cigarette he holds. "In fact, ever since he made his high-profile appearance at the Su family birthday banquet, I’ve been intending to investigate him. Even if Uncle Er didn’t say anything, I’d still do this."

A flicker of sharpness appears in Tao Tangtian's eyes: "With his status as a member of Dragon Skin’s Special Forces, he must know many things that others are unaware of. Uncle Er, rest assured; once he gets into my hands, there will be over one hundred methods to extract information from him. Even if he manages to get out in the end, I’ll make sure he is half-dead and crippled, avenging this for you."

"Alright then," Xu Shuliang’s eyes still brimming with hatred as he coldly says: "Tangtian, hurry up. The old man can’t wait anymore."

Tao Tangtian gives a cold laugh and replies, “Uncle Er, the show is about to begin; let's see what happens.”

"I suggest you refrain from searching me," Wang Zheng says with a smile as he looks at the two agents. "I’m considering your safety; don’t allow yourself to be used by others."

"Less talk, you have no right to speak here." The agent obviously has an overwhelming sense of superiority and seems accustomed to following protocol without exception; he won't let a detainee like Wang Zheng get a word in. Hearing Wang Zheng's objection to the search, he immediately draws out his baton from his waist and flicks it on, causing alarming blue light to flash continuously.

The agent said to his companion, "I'll keep watch here. You go and search him. The boss personally instructed us; we can't afford any carelessness."

"Alright."

No sooner had the companion of that agent agreed than he suddenly felt an inexplicable sharp pain rise from his femoral artery, making his entire thigh instantly stiffen to an unbearable degree as if knives were being carved into his flesh!

The agent fell to the ground, clutching his thigh and wailing pitifully while rolling around on the floor in excruciating agony.

However, Room 204 was extremely soundproof; no other agents heard that blood-curdling scream tearing through their lungs.

The agent, seeing how much pain his companion was suffering, did not immediately crouch down to help him but instead glared coldly at Wang Zheng and asked with an even more sinister expression, "Was it you who did this Admit it!"

Wang Zheng shrugged innocently. "I really didn’t move a single finger. I think your cameras must have captured everything. If you don’t believe me, just check the footage."

"To hell with whether or not you touched him!" The agent, seeing Wang Zheng feigning innocence, immediately raised his electric baton and thrust it at Wang Zheng!

From the amount of current running through that baton, if Wang Zheng were to be hit by it, he would surely collapse unconscious.

However, before this agent could even take a step forward, his legs suddenly felt as heavy as lead. His body lurched forward but couldn’t move any further! He fell straight onto the ground!

In falling, this agent’s electric baton accidentally touched his other hand, and a heart-stopping crackling sound was heard; the guy immediately passed out, unconscious.

At that moment, the agent who had been clutching his thigh and screaming in pain earlier had also fainted from the agony.

"Hey, how’s it going"

Wang Zheng kicked the two agents lying on the ground with his feet. Seeing no response from either of them, he looked up at the camera and shrugged helplessly.

"Your people are too weak."

Xu Shuli saw clearly the disdainful expression on Wang Zheng’s face and heard equally clearly his words full of derision. His beard quivered with rage: "Heavens above, are you just going to let him run rampant like this"

"He's got some skills." Tao Tangtian sneered and said, "Uncle Er, rest assured. The more impulsive he gets, the easier it will be for us to nail him with a conviction. Now that he has violently assaulted a state official, there’s no way he can escape this charge."

"I don’t want to wait too long," Xu Shuli said as he leaned on the table and stared intently at the screen.

Sitting in his chair with one leg propped up, Wang Zheng continued speaking to the camera: "You want to search me only after you’ve put me behind bars That’s your mistake. You’re not as powerful as you think, nor am I as weak as you imagine. If these two agents don’t receive proper treatment within five minutes, they’ll be dead."

After finishing his statement, Wang Zheng pulled out a pistol from his pocket and fired four shots in rapid succession—left, right, front, and back! The cameras were blown up almost simultaneously!

The surveillance screen in Tao Tangtian’s office turned to static at the same moment.

When Wang Zheng fired, Xu Shuli fell into his chair. This old man, who had been a soldier all his life, lacked any courage or bloodthirstiness now. When he saw Wang Zheng shooting at the camera, he assumed that it was aimed at him and became so frightened that his legs turned to jelly; he quickly moved away.

Giving his brother-in-law beside him a cold glance, Tao Tangtian smirked.

Looking at the snow-covered screen, Tao Tangtian picked up the phone and said, "Enter and rescue them. If they resist, kill them on the spot!"

"Good! Such a thug should be killed without hesitation," Xu Shuli mumbled as he sat down in his chair, still shaken by what had just happened.

The walls of Room 204 were made of some unknown material that gleamed metallically. The door was very thick and could only be opened with a level three password; bullets couldn’t damage such a lock. If Wang Zheng wanted to get out, he would have to wait for someone else to come in.

Glancing at his watch, he saw that two minutes had passed since the incident began. With a light smile, Wang Zheng said, "If I don’t turn this damned State Security Bureau’s Eleventh Division upside down today, I’m not Wang Zheng."

In an ultra-large office building somewhere, He Yan looked at his report and slammed his fist on the table.

"Damn it! How could you have forgotten about me after all these years of seclusion" His voice was loud, and rarely did he curse. When he suddenly became enraged now, even a few men and women officers nearby were scared into silence.

"Prepare the car; I’m going to see the minister," He Yan said as he got up from his chair and walked away quickly. All of his subordinates hurriedly followed him.
