was always the most protective of Rong Ling, and he had come over now. He must have been influenced by what Rong Ling said to him. Did he really think she was so easy to bully! She's not clueless! Sh...She widened her eyes and reached out to grab his arm tightly. Her eyes, which were swollen from crying, flushed a delicate shade of pink around the edges, making it seem as if she was on the verge of tears again. It tugged at one's heartstrings!
"Close your eyes!" he commanded, pulling the underwear-clad shorts from under the thin blanket, balling them up, and tossing them aside.
She was a little panicked, she had already come to her senses and realized that she was in a car, and there were other people in the car. The feeling of emptiness below made her afraid.
"No!"
She only realized how raspy her voice was after she spoke.
It startled her, and her expression softened; a frown creased her brow.
"Are you warm" he asked her.
The man punished her in that way, there had been a precedent for this before. Even if Lin Meng's initial guess was only a small percentage, hearing him say this, she felt certain the man was exactly like that. She was both ashamed and angry. She reached out to grab the thin blanket, tightly wrapped herself from the waist down, bit her lip, and glared at him.
He arched an eyebrow, a sign of his interest. She dared to glare at him!
He raised his hand and lightly flicked her forehead in a gesture of reprimand, yet continued to question her.
"Headache Thirsty Sore throat Do you feel dizzy, or achy all over"
Lin Meng slowly narrowed her pupils, her eyes no longer wide, but her face flushed red.
She understood now, she had made a mistake. The man's questions were clearly about cold symptoms.
He caught sight of her and reached out to touch her face. A tinge of melancholy flashed in his eyes.
"Her face is so red, she couldn't have really caught a cold, could she!" he muttered to himself. Seeing her silent and unusually still, a stark contrast to the ferocious lioness she had been just moments ago, his worries deepened.
"I'll take you to the hospital first." He made a quick decision.
"No!" she replied instantly. Her own body, she knew best. She was fine!
Why go to the hospital for nothing, it just smells of disinfectant!
"Go take a look!" He had made up his mind, however, and instructed the driver to head to the hospital.
He made her like this and even sent her to the hospital, what a monster!
“I said I wasn’t going!” she huffed. “How can you not respect people!”
This hit him right where it hurt, turning his face pale. He understood what she meant, but did she know that he had put in every ounce of effort for her Did she think it was easy to go against his old boss like that!
His body was stiff, he pressed down on her, his dark eyes were getting darker and darker. Looking at him, he was about to lose it.
She pursed her lips, though not with a cold and angry expression, but rather one of stubborn defiance.
He went to speed, but it never came out in the end.
"No need to go to the hospital!"
He stared intently into her eyes and said coldly, though it was an instruction to the driver.
"Let's go back to where we were before!"
The driver hummed softly, but dared not utter a single sound. He could only try to make his presence less and less noticeable.
He reached into the thin blanket again, to take her clothes off. It was okay not to go to the hospital, he respected her. But the wet clothes had to come off.
She realized, struggled, and was immediately caught by him, biting on her small ears.
"Take care of your own body!"
He was almost scolding her.
She stopped struggling.
She wasn't wearing a button-up garment, so it was somewhat difficult to take off under the thin blanket. Although he was domineering, one hand needed to hold down the blanket to prevent her from showing too much, while the other hand struggled to pull. He struggled for a long time, his thin lips becoming tighter and tighter, but he still couldn't manage even one of her sleeves. Yet, he just argued with her like this, not even opening his mouth to ask her to cooperate, as if he was stubbornly confronting her out of spite!
She didn't mind, she was like a lump of soft flesh, lying in his arms, letting him toss her around. But look, there were tears gradually flowing down his face, dripping onto hers. He didn't know if they were raindrops or sweat. This made her heart flutter again.
He remained silent, stubbornly tugging at her sleeve, defeated but not giving up.
This sounds a bit childish!
"I'll do it!" she finally spoke, pushing herself up from his arms.
He looked over, and she gave him two big rolling eyes. She leaned close to his ear and retaliated by biting his ear back, whispering in a tiny voice, "Make sure the blanket is spread out properly. If you get caught, you'll be wearing that green hat for sure!"
He glared at her, but as if complying with her wish, he opened the quilt. She crawled under the quilt and in a few movements, took off her wet clothes, leaving only her little underwear, then poked her head out.
He raised an eyebrow, re-trapping her, his big hand reaching under the covers. She was displeased, glaring at him sideways. But this time she couldn't stop him; he reached in and unbuttoned her equally damp little chest piece.
She panicked, clutching the thin blanket to prevent a wardrobe malfunction, and strained to raise her waist, trying to get closer to his ear to whisper. He cooperated, lowering his head. She gritted her teeth and complained angrily, “Leave some for me!”
I feel so insecure! I have nothing on me.
He whispered in her ear, "It's not necessary!"
Then he ignored her, letting her lean in to talk to him, but he paid no attention. He just rubbed the little cutie and tucked it into his pocket. Then, with arms like dry tree trunks, strong and powerful, he encircled her. His hard jaw rested lightly on her forehead, then he said nothing more.
Then she too fell silent.
Later, he moved, but silently picked up a corner of the thin blanket and gently lifted her hair that was still dripping with water, wiping it quietly.
She stared blankly for a moment, then pouted and looked quietly.
His hands, they were beautiful. Long fingers, with prominent knuckles, large and strong, a power that sent shivers down her spine. Yet now, these hands capable of incredible destruction, gently wiped the hair from her forehead. She lifted her gaze slowly upwards, to look at his face. His complexion remained as aloof as ever, appearing both intimidating and distant. But who he truly was, how he felt about her, she knew in her heart, just as clearly as she did from the intensity of his gaze upon her now.
I stared at him for a moment, and he shifted his gaze to me, motioning for me to turn slightly, but he remained silent.
I think I'm at a loss for words!
speechless!
She turned slightly as he wished, making it easier for him to wipe the next spot. Then, she let out a long sigh.
"Oh..."
He raised his eyes, his gaze dark and deep, flickering slightly as if holding a thousand words. Yet, in the end, it faded into silence. He lowered his eyes and continued wiping silently.
He's just like a pushover who never fights back or says anything when he's wronged!
She carefully reached out a hand, crawling out from under the covers, but he immediately pressed her back down, letting out a warning.
"Don't move!"
As if she were afraid she'd run out of clothes!
She insisted on moving, but he held her down tightly.
"You have something on your face!" she said.
He froze, then told her, "Don't move."
Then he reached out randomly and wiped his face.
It's really unpresentable!
"There's still!" she said with a wink, persisting nonetheless.
"Where!" he asked.
She didn't speak.
He looked at her for a while, then as if granting her a pardon, he loosened the thin blanket slightly, creating a small opening for her to reach out with her hand. As soon as she extended her hand, he immediately pulled the blanket back, wrapping her up tightly again as before.
She reached out and touched his chin, circling it slowly with her hand.
He waited two seconds, a slight realization dawning on him, then he left her alone and continued brushing her hair. Meanwhile, she played with his face, tracing it with her fingertips over and over again. Even after he finished, she was still playing. He held her motionless, watching her.
Inside the car, it was so peaceful and quiet until the driver stopped the car.
"Boss, we're here!"
When reminded of his duties, the driver would once again weakly assert his presence.
"Go in and tell Boss Jin that I'm coming. Get a good pool ready for me!"
The driver replied, "Yes," got out of the car, and quickly rushed into the hot spring hotel in the rain. He came out very soon, but now he had an umbrella in his hand.
"Boss, everything is ready!" the driver reported, opening an umbrella and respectfully opening the car door to greet Rong Ling as he came out.
Lin Meng immediately pulled her hand under the blanket and snorted discontentedly.
"I want to go home!"
He immediately smiled silently, with a feeling of cloud parting and sun shining.
He carried her out. Strangely, just as he emerged with his head poking out, the rain, which had already begun to weaken, suddenly stopped. When he'd brought Lin Meng completely out and his back straightened like a bamboo pole, the world suddenly became bright.
He adjusted his hold on her slightly, lifting her a little, holding her like a child.
"Look, little one!"
He raised his eyes and gazed into the distance. She followed his gaze, looking over and was suddenly dazzled.
Look! It's a rainbow!
How wonderful!
It's rare to see a rainbow in this land, which is increasingly polluted, perhaps only once a year!
That rainbow, with its seven colors, shimmered with a soft light, like a colorful ribbon hanging in the vast blue sky. It was so refreshing and beautiful.
"So beautiful!"
She couldn't help but let out a soft sigh.
He held her, quietly admiring. Regardless of the time or place, regardless of who might appear around them, it was as if there were only the two of them in the world. As if this gorgeous rainbow under the blue sky was created just for them.
The driver glanced at the sky and wisely put away his umbrella immediately, so as not to disrupt the scene.
A sudden downpour, that's just how it is. The clouds disappear, the rain stops, it comes quickly and goes quickly too. Without the cloud cover, the sunlight shines again on the earth, casting a faint golden glow, falling on both of them, coating them both in a layer of gold.
A tall, handsome man, looking like a god, was hugging a girl with long, dark hair cascading down her back. She wore a milky white garment and looked stunning—comparable to the radiance of a rainbow in the distant sky.
"After the wind and rain comes the rainbow!" he said, in a voice almost like a sigh.
> It means long!
She turned her head slightly to look at him. He was still gazing at the rainbow, his eyes fixed on the distant horizon. The golden sunlight bathed his face, making it seem to shimmer with a touch of gold. He could picture himself wiping the hair from her forehead, but he hadn't bothered with his own, so it was still damp. A few droplets of water clung to his hair, sparkling like diamonds in the sunshine!
This also confused her a bit.
Let her just stare like that.
Although he didn't look at her, he could feel her gaze fixed on his face. He still didn't turn around to face her, and spoke as if swearing an oath to a rainbow.
"Little darling, you can't leave. It's destiny!"
Even if it's not fate, he will make it fate!
He smirked arrogantly.
She smiled slowly, then turned her face to admire the rainbow once more. But such a rare and beautiful sight was destined to be fleeting, soon disappearing over the horizon.
Only then did he embrace her and enter the hot spring inn. He was so bold, completely ignoring the stares of others.
After entering the private luxurious onsen room, it was a place of absolute safety. He pulled the damp blanket from beneath her and placed her inside.
"Why don't you soak for a bit to warm up I'll give Miao Qing a call and have her get some clothes ready for you!"
He took out his phone, dialing as he walked away. He first called Miao Qing and then Yu Xu, reporting his safety and asking about a few things. As the two were talking, Rong Ling turned his face to look at the outdoor hot spring pool through the glass window, then quickly frowned. Inside the steaming pool, just like when they arrived, there was no sign of anyone.
He was startled.
"See you later!"
He slammed down the phone and shouted.
"Dreamy!"
His thigh moved quickly, and he strode out while his eyes rapidly scanned the surrounding area. He didn't see any danger, but neither did he see her afterward, so he was startled. He ran quickly and dashed out of the house.
The structure of a private onsen room consists of one room and one pool. The pool is located at the innermost part of the room, separated from the room by a wooden door. A small path paved with pebbles separates the pool and the room. Rongling ran out of the house and almost jumped two times to cross the path before jumping into the vast pool.
"Dreamy!" he bellowed, his face taut with strain.
That stupid woman, she can't possibly sink this low, can she
Damn it!
Have you heard that the first time someone goes to a hot spring, they might faint because they aren't used to it That silly woman wouldn't have fainted like that, would she
"Mumu, Mumu!"
He shouted, hurrying across the water, reaching out with his hands and widening his eyes to look. The surface of the water was misty and blurry; anything slightly further away was indistinct. Rong Ling, relying on his astonishing memory, frantically searched around the area where he had just let Lin Meng go, but found nothing.
He immediately got angry and panicked.
"Dreamer!" he roared, his voice a thunderous cry, deep and angry, bursting with oppressive force.
He searched, his face gradually paling to an ashen hue. His eyes widened, bloodshot and strained with frantic searching. He stared intently, almost as if tears were streaming down his face.
"Dreamy, dreamy, dreamy!"
He began to roar, each bellow like the howl of a wolf. The water was slapped by him, making a sharp slapping sound; and because of his powerful searching, the surface of the water was repeatedly cut open by his body, producing a rushing sound, one louder than the last.
At this point, the drawbacks of an overly extravagant pool become apparent. Because the pool is so large, finding someone to manage it becomes significantly more difficult. Additionally, due to the constant flow of water, the sound of the water entering and leaving, which was originally intended to create a sense of being in nature, now serves as a distracting noise.
"Sweet dreams!"
His voice rose to a harsh cry, his face flushed crimson with urgency; the veins on his neck throbbed violently as if mirroring his frantic state. The water surface churned and roared with his frenzied search, its sound growing ever louder, even beginning to resemble waves surging against each other.
His roar began to carry a hint of the desperation-fueled frenzy, each bellow sounding like madness itself; as if in the next moment, he would rage and destroy everything.
"Dreamy!"
He roared, beginning to wail with a sense of shared doom.
Time flies!
He began to be scared!
He's damn it, he shouldn't have chosen to come here in the first place!
Those bloodshot eyes, shooting across the water's surface time and again, the more their depths gathered a destructive desire, the stronger and more frenzied it became.
When he was about to go mad, his ears, which were incredibly sensitive, picked up some movement. His heart skipped a beat, and he hurriedly moved sideways, rushing forward a few times before finally touching something soft. Without thinking twice, he exerted all his strength, grabbing the softness with both hands. After a gush of water, a fair body, pale and red, appeared, accompanied by smooth, flowing blue silk.
His heart surged with ecstasy, and he immediately held her upright to look at her. Seeing her eyes closed, his heart sank, but he still followed instinct, took a deep breath, gripped her chin, and blew into her mouth. As he gave her breaths, he also pulled her rapidly towards the shore.
But as soon as she reached the shore, she opened her eyes. Her beautiful eyes were shy, but they showed that she was alright.
She's fine!
She's fine!
His eyes were wide and bloodshot, his gaze greedy as he looked at her. The veins in his neck pulsed with excitement, still throbbing visibly. His face was flushed, a hint of blue beneath the redness. He looked frightening, yet undeniably handsome, captivating her completely.
She licked her lips nervously, not quite daring to meet his gaze.
He shuddered and, with a sudden burst of strength, pulled her into an intense embrace. His power was so overwhelming, it felt like it could squeeze all the hot spring water out from between them!
He buried his face heavily in the crook of her neck, pleading with her nearly.
"Dreamy, don't leave me!"
His voice trembled slightly, his tone hinting at a choked sob. It made him seem so helpless, utterly dependent on her anger to keep him alive! Jiang Changhao 'Dad'. He was considered Grandpa Jiang's grandson, no doubt about it. But Rong Ling didn't recognize Grandpa Jiang as his father either. Grandpa Jiang didn't deny it either, just skipp...
